Greetings everyone. May is almost here already. I was busy with work last week and now I am back in the bunker this week. The new norm is traveling to work, home and the supermarket. Hopefully things will start to return back to normal in a few weeks.
Last week they announced in state of Pennsylvania that you had to wear a mask in public places. I am not getting used to wearing one.
I have been adding more toy soldier sets to the new page that I am selling toys from. You can see what I have for sale over at this page, Toys for Sale. I now have the LOD/Barzso Woodland Indians in stock!!!
Back are some of the Woodland Indian sets. The Barzso Woodland Indians sets are some of the best sculpted Indian figures every made. The new sets are cast in new colors and in the better resin. Here is the LOD/Barszo Cherokee Indian set.
Here are the LOD/Barzso Shawnee Indian Set. These figures first appeared in the Bradock’s Defeat Playset.
Here is the Barzso Magua character figure leading some Huron Indians.
Here is a Barzso Shawnee Indian fighting an P&P Products Plains Indian.
Here are the LOD/Barzso Huron Indian set. These figures are some of the earliest Barzso figures ever made. I think these figures first appeared with the Last of the Mohicans Playset.
Fighting over the last roll…..
Last week I found these Atlantic Western figures on eBay. They are part of the Atlantic Set 1214 “Outlaws & Sheriffs Far West Story”.
“Your toilet paper or your life”
Here is a Atlantic Cowboy and a Cherilea Mounted Indian.
I have been looking off and on for these Atlantic Western figures. There are still a few figures that I still need to complete this set. I found some pictures on the internet that shows the complete set with box. Take a look below.
Hopefully one day I will find the complete set or at least the missing figures that I need. The box says 1/32 in scale. They are about 60mm in size.
Here is a Bandit that was shot and now is dragged away by his horse.
The Midwest Toy Soldier Show was rescheduled for June 7th. They are keeping their fingers crossed that they don’t have to cancel the show. I can’t make it this year. I will not be able to take any time off from my job. I hope to attend the show next year.
That is it for now. Don’t forget to check out the new page for toy soldiers for sale, Toys for Sale. Thank you for reading.
I hope everyone is doing well. I bet a lot of you are getting stir crazy in your home or stressed out if you are working. Today I have another short post. The first part is a review of a old plastic set from Italeri.
I picked this set up a few months ago. I am planning on using these figures with my Playmobil Coliseum set in a display one day. The scale says 1/32 but they are more like 1/35 in scale. There are sixteen figures in this set. Eight different poses of two each. There are six Gladiators and two animals. Made out of tan plastic. Like a model they had to be broken off the spruce.
The first group of Gladiators appear to be posing ready to set some type of contest.
Here we have a Lion & a Bear.
The next group of Gladiators are of action poses.
The set is sculpted well. Nicely detailed. The poses are good too. I do have a few complaints. It feels like the set is incomplete. Even the box art is different from the figures included. Most of the poses don’t connect with each other. They should have made the poses interact with each other better. There should be two standing poses instead of three. If there was another action pose it would have felt more complete.
Here is the hobby clipper that I used to remove the figures from the spruce. It makes so much easier to remove the plastic parts.
Here is a preview the new Mars WWII Russian Infantry set. They look nice. The grey set will be sold in limited numbers. I hope to get a set of each once the virus clears up.
Here another Mars set. Viet Cong Heavy Weapons team. The gray figures are prototypes. All the sets are 1/32 in scale.
I should have some more time off after next week. Hopefully I don’t get sick while I am at work. I will be updating my site when I have more free time.
Don’t forget to keep checking out my new page I added, Toys for Sale. Each month I will be adding more items. I hope to sell mainly at the toy shows in the future.
Also you should check out some the Toy Soldier website. Most are still out during the Virus shut down. Armies in Plastic is one of them. Check them out at https://www.armiesinplastic.com/.
