Yesterday I received the No.4 Terror set by Chelovechek. The set is based on Franklin’s Lost Expedition during 1845 to 1847.

There are 6 figures included in this set. They are made out a rubbery type of resin. They are 1/32 in scale. I chose the blue color for this set. They also come in a dark gray and I think a brown color. The paper print of Captain Franklin was a nice touch.

Marine with rifle. Looks like he is getting ammo to load the rifle.

I think here is another Marine with an ice pick.

A Conte & Barzso figure added to the mix.

I like this set very much. A couple years ago I watch the TV series called the “Terror”. Like the toy soldier set it was based on the story of Franklin’s Lost Expedition. The British Navy ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror got stuck in the ice while exploring Canadian Artic. I like the poses in the set. I wish that there were more though. Maybe they will do another set one day. For now I will add some Conte Alamo figures and some others that I think I can convert to fit the era. They are nicely sculpted and are a unique subject. I would like to make a small display one day. A friend of mine sent me some pictures of a new set that Chelovechek will be releasing soon. This is set Number five. It is based on Ancient Japan, the Yayoi Dzidai (300 BC – 300 AD) – BAMBOO.

Here is some information from Ivan at Chelovechek shared.

1/32 scale, Pistachio color, 6 figures in rubber plastic:

A female shaman; Warrior with a bronze ax; Warrior with a stone ax; Warrior with a bow; Warrior with a spear; Warrior with a sword.

This set looks really interesting like most of their other sets. This set might be in different colors besides the green. I have heard it will be done in brown and an unknown color.

Hi everyone. Here is a quick post today about a few things. The first topic is the new book about Barzso Playsets and then some information on some figure sets.

For the last few years I have heard rumors and talk on a couple forums that someone should write a book on Barzso Playsets. It was even said that I was working on a book at one point, lol. Finally there is an Official Guide about Barzso Playsets. The book is written and photographed by Len Hardt. The forward by Ron Barzso. Edited Kathy J. Kern. Plus designed & additional material & photos by Rusty Kern. You can purchase the book through Playset Magazine. For more information about the book go to their website. Here is a preview picture of a new set from Mars WWII Russian Assault Troops. The scale is 1/32. Not bad. The machine guns are a nice touch. They should be released sometime in the near future. I think the Finnish Army in Winter Gear should be out soon also. I will try to get both sets when the are available.

The Columbus Toy Soldier Show is scheduled for October 18th. But the location is going to be changed because the location is no longer in business. I will be attending this show as a vendor. I will let you know where it is as soon as I find out. Now that the Chicago show is cancelled this will be one of the last major toy soldiers show for the year.
