Here is what Conte had post on his FB site in his words below.

Thought you’d like to see 6 ( of 8) poses from Roman Set 1 ‘in action’ .
Please note that the ‘gobs’ supporting shields and such are only ‘there’ to temporarily hold up separately molded parts. They will NOT (obviously) be part of the finished product.

Also, the pila/spears have been artificially made a tad thicker than we’d wanted and designed( so that they inject properly and do not bend or twist) We are hopeful that their thickness will be reduced a bit for the final production while still avoiding any bending…it’s all about compromise when the functioning of the molds vs. playability & original design come into debate….

Lastly, the spearchucker is not holding his pilum at the proper angle as it came loose for the photo-shoot

Can’t wait to show you photos of these fellows mixed with additional poses from sets 2 and 3…

A different view which gives some idea of the full-round nature of these figures. The photos were sent to us this morning BY THE FACTORY. These are actual photos of prototypes for RC’s approval/comment sent to us from THE FACTORY.

Centurion almost complete; might make some adjustments to the cape ; also working on alternate head and alternate arms. Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this fellow progress…the problem always is that the large shield hides so much detail.

Forces of Valor is starting to release more new products in 1/32 scale now. The new Russian tanks will available this month. The German tank above should be released next year in March. We should see new items come out on a regular basis now. Next year will see a lot of German, American and some more Russian armored vehicles. The Find

Here are some items that I picked up over the summer. In my last post I mentioned that I picked up a Barzso/TSSD “Road To Stalingrad” playset. After I picked up that set I found a few die cast tanks to add to it. Most of them were made by Ultimate Soldier, 21st Century, Unimax or Forces of Valor.

TSSD Russians & Tanks

Here are two WWII Russian tanks by Unimax and Forces of Valor. Plus WWII Russian Infantry by TSSD. All of them are nicely detailed. They are all in 1/32 scale.

Here are the TSSD Russians in olive green. The T34 tank is made by Unimax.

TSSD Germans

These are early set cast in white gray color.

The first Tank is made by W. Britain. I found it for $34. It was damaged, but I was able to fix some of it. The barrel on the gun turret was warped. Probably from some accident when it fell and hit the ground. There was a small crack on the bottom of the track. I was able to heat up the gun barrel and straighten it out.

TSSD Germans2

Here is another German tank. I think this one is a Panther. It was made by 21st Century toys.

FOV1FOV2FOV3FOV4FOV5

The half-track is made by Forces of Valor. The figures that came with this set are really nice. They make an epic piece in any collection. The look nice with other brands of toy soldiers in 1/32 scale.

Tree1Tree2Tree3Tree4

I ordered some trees about a month ago from Micshaun’s Closet. Each tree was $12.99. The details are great. It is a nice size. The tree measures about 9 & 1/2 inches tall.

FOV6

So if you need any Germans, Russians or trees head over to https://micshaunscloset.com/they carry plenty of different sets from multiple companies.

Germanss-l1600T34Ultimate Germans1Umimax T34

These die cast tanks are great. But they can also cost a lot of money. But if you are patient you find these die cast vehicles at good to fair prices. The Forces of Valor are the best in my opinion.

Russians2

Over the summer I have purchased a few figure lots. In these lots there was either different sets from the same brand or different brands mixed together. I picked up a few vintage WWII Russian Infantry figures in different colors.

Airfix Russians

Here are some of the orange Airfix Russians that I think were made in the late 1980’s.

Marx RussiansMarx Russians1Russians3

These Marx recast Russian figures I think were cast in the 1990’s??

I have never seen these in yellow before until I got them in a figure lot. They are nicely cast. They are marked Marx on the bottom. They are 1/32 in scale.

It is a few weeks away from the big show. I can’t wait to hear about and see the newest products that are going to be released. I should have a post before or maybe two post before the show. That is it for now. Thank you for reading.

Latest News!! 06/16/2018 ~ Forces of Valor Update & New Chintoys Knights Templar & Hospitaller sets. Gettysburg Toy Soldier Show and some hobby news.

I hope all you Fathers enjoyed Father’s Day today.

This is the first year that my Father is not here to share with us. He passed away last year. He was a US Navy Veteran and served 28 years in the New York City Police department. He liked discussing historical topics of World War I & II, Medieval history and the American Civil War. Most of the things that I collect are based on history. I would say I got that from my Father. So today I reflect and Honor his memory.

The next release schedule is as follow:

– (FoV-801013A) T-34-85 Heavy weathering effects

(FoV-801013B) T-34-85 Moderate weathering effects with different marking

(FoV-801007A) Jagdpanther early production with big size display base **88mm display base is considered as medium size, new camouflage patterns. Have you guys discover many of the old 1/32 scale FoV camouflage patterns had not fully covered the vehicles, that probably had to do with extra costing in paint templates, again another issue with outsourcing:( This new one should be much improved)

(FoV-861010A) Chinese Liaoning 16 aircraft carrier, the story background is based on its visit to Hong Kong during 2017 July

– (FoV-861010B) Chinese Liaoning 16 aircraft carrier, the story background is base on a military exercise in South China sea during 2016 December, we added moderate weathering effect to the deck to show aircrafts take-off and landing traces

– (FoV-801024A) JagdTiger Henschel road wheels, we are working on the camouflage paint scheme at the moment, it is very challenging because it is two tones colour but we are quite confident that it will set new benchmark in our industry

– (FoV-801008A) 88mm Flak gun with Flak 36 gun barrel and 36 cruciform, story background is Stalingrad.

After all the above would be new Tiger I family and the new member, SturmTiger, a model that worth waiting because we eventually did about 70% of full interior, many open parts and full die-cast hull top.

We will begin developing die-cast tracks from Tiger I family because technically it is not difficult and we would be acquiring a new zinc alloy casting machine in early July.

Latest News!!! 06/08/2019 ~ Toy Soldier Previews & Hobby News ~ Mars Panzergrenadiers, Forces of Valor LCM-3. Plus Hat, Conte & Plastic Platoon & more.

D-Day

“On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified French coastline, to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler’s crack troops.”

I took this statement above from https://www.army.mil/d-day/

D-Day (1)D-Day_2_largeThe 75th Anniversary of D-Day was a couple of days ago. One of the most iconic images we have of that day is that of the brave boys landing on the beaches and the LCM landing craft.

FOV6

On the 75th Anniversary of D-Day Forces of Valor announced the are going to release new Landing Craft Mechanized, LCM-3 in 1/32 scale. The released a statement the other day too. I have added that below.

FOV7

We would like to take this special opportunity; 75th anniversary of D-Day Normandy landing, one of the most important battles during WW2, to announce our new 1/32 scale project, Landing Craft Mechanized, LCM-3. Forces of Valor / Unimax had produced the 1/72 scale LCM-3 back in 2008 and since we had taken over the FOV brand, we have always wonder why a 1/32 scale version had not been made in the past? So we began conducting some researches about the LCM-3 and eventually found out that a 1/32 scale LCM-3 version has a dimension of 47.6cm (Length) x 13.6cm (Width) and 13.5cm (Height), that would probably cost a fortune to make the molds, however since 8 months ago, we started our new 1/32 scale Sherman tank program, we have planned to release 2 variants of Sherman M4 and 8 variants of Sherman M4A3… (Sherman tanks have way too many variants so for M4A1 and M4A2 we have to reluctantly leave it until 2020)

That said… with nearly 10 models of 1/32 scale Sherman variants that would be rolling out in the next 12 months, a landing craft seems to be more than necessary to join our iconic 1/32 scale family and so 5 months ago, we had chosen the LCM-3 as a kick start of our landing crafts series.

One of the major concerns of FOV enthusiasts is how much metal parts would be used in every new product. We can firmly tell you that at least with 2003 FOV level, which means turret, gun barrel and top hull and for this particular LCM-3, at least the ramp, certain body parts would be made of die-cast metal.

Following post would be about the new FOV 1/32 scale US Sherman tank series.

Respect and praise to all the D-Days heroes!! http://www.forcesofvalor.com/
