Toy Soldiers Preview ~ Barzso Stronghold Tower

Here are some pictures of the new Medieval Tower that Barzso Playsets is coming out this year. I think it will be called the “Duke’s Stronghold”, it reminds me of Conte’s Warlord Tower that was made years ago. I think it will be released at the toy show in Chicago later at the end of the month. I wish he would come out with some more medieval figures to go with this tower, maybe in the future? This tower is great for a stand alone piece or it can be part of his other medieval castles. So if you missed out on the Conte Warlord Tower ); or don’t want to spend an arm & leg for one, then this tower is for you. I hope Ron sells a ton of these, they will look great with any painted metal or plastic medieval figures. So get one fast, it is bound to sell out quickly….

And lastly the Tower & Rocky Base standing alone(with a small tower on top).

I think the Tower is going to cost around $179.00, the rock base around $60.00. The little tower on the the top is $20.00, and a connector wall(not pictured) is going to be around $30.00. Prices could be different, but this is what I have read on one of the forums. The connector wall will allow you to include the tower to be part of the castle. I am going to get one right away 🙂

  1. Superb! I love Barzso Playsets. They get the point! Foam + toy soldiers = REVOLUTION. Conte did it and Barszo did it! Today is the new dimension of the playsets. The piece is great. The base is a great idea and I would like to try something like this in the future.
Every year they improve with a new great playset. I wish to know the new toy soldiers they make for this set (Normans?). I am sure that they will be great. A great post. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Thanks Jose, right now I guess they are going to use the old medieval figures he made years ago. I have not heard any plans for new figures, hope they do something in the future. We need some new plastic medieval figures, some more that can be used as both Saxons and Vikings. Normans would be great too. It would take a lot of time to make a tower from scratch. I going to try to make some houses and medieval themed items. Like a stable or blacksmith shop. But that will be in the future. I going to do a few more posts in the near future about painting and my ideas for the projects that I want to do. Right now I am split about Toy Soldiers and Playmobil. I going to try to use ideas that I could use for both, if possible.

  3. We still stock our plastic Normans and Vikings. Will rerun Saxons in 2017.
I have approximately 40 new Normans and 40 Vikings sculpted. Still working on new poses. We will be back in action soon.
I’d post photos if I could figure out how…
A brand new website is in the works as well

    • Thank You for visiting my page, it is an honor. Right now I am painting some of your older plastic figures. Great to hear about your plans, you made some of the best figures and playsets. The time is right for Vikings and Medieval figures, with all the interest the Vikings TV series, plus The Last Kingdom and the 950th Anniversary of the Battles in England. Hastings, Stamford Bridge and the forgotten Battle of Fulford, it was an eventful year for Middle Earth. I can’t wait to see your new Toy Soldiers.

I am working on some ideas too, small in nature to Conte Collectibles. I am going to convert figures and see If I can sculpt items and figures eventually too. Thanks again for visiting my page.
