Hi everybody, I like to thank everybody for taken their time and reading my blog. I am working on a few projects right now and hope to finish most by the end of the year. Most of them a with painting figures, customizing some figures and some ships, plus making different items like houses or other simple items. Most of this will be for the Toy Soldiers, but I still have some plans with working with the Playmobil too. Every thing I do, has to do with some interest that I have with History. The main project that I am planing is a diorama of a Viking Raid on a Saxon village. I have a 2 ships that I am customizing or touching up, gathering up figures that I am painting now, then customizing figures, and lastly building up a base to put everything together. I going to be a long term project. I hopefully finish most of the painting of figures and the ships by the end of the year. Ok, Thanks for reading.
Here are some pictures of the new Medieval Tower that Barzso Playsets is coming out this year. I think it will be called the “Duke’s Stronghold”, it reminds me of Conte’s Warlord Tower that was made years ago. I think it will be released at the toy show in Chicago later at the end of the month. I wish he would come out with some more medieval figures to go with this tower, maybe in the future? This tower is great for a stand alone piece or it can be part of his other medieval castles. So if you missed out on the Conte Warlord Tower ); or don’t want to spend an arm & leg for one, then this tower is for you. I hope Ron sells a ton of these, they will look great with any painted metal or plastic medieval figures. So get one fast, it is bound to sell out quickly….

I think the Tower is going to cost around $179.00, the rock base around $60.00. The little tower on the the top is $20.00, and a connector wall(not pictured) is going to be around $30.00. Prices could be different, but this is what I have read on one of the forums. The connector wall will allow you to include the tower to be part of the castle. I am going to get one right away 🙂
Hi, starting a new thing here. The is a cross over post, where Playmobil and Toy Soldiers combine or can use the same products for display. Anyway, I found these 2 Play Big Viking ships this year on ebay. I am going to convert them, one for Playmobil and the other for my Viking Toy Soldiers. I am gathering some ideas and hopefully I can finish both or one this winter. Here are some of the pictures of what they look like as of right now. Thanks for reading 😛

First Legion Vikings, Norse Raiders
Hello again my friends, I have been busy lately finishing one of my goals of creating a Norman Theme. Here is the first step in moving toward that direction. With a combination of customizers and collectors like Cowabounga’s shop and José from Mad on Playmobil none of this would be possible. Especially José, his ideas helped the most. I hope we can help each other with brain storming ideas to create more items to expand the Playmobil world. Thanks again guys 🙂
Here is my first Norman Knight, there is still more to do to improve on this. But I finally think this is the right direction to go. With some tape, glue, material and paint comes this Norman Knight. Hope you enjoy and thanks for reading. I still have to finish some projects and hopefully in the coming weeks I will.
Hola de nuevo mis amigos, he estado ocupado últimamente terminando uno de mis objetivos de crear un tema de Norman. Aquí es el primer paso en el avance hacia esa dirección. Hallo wieder meine Freunde, ich habe viel zu tun in letzter Zeit eines meiner Ziele Fertigstellung eines Norman Thema zu schaffen. Hier ist der erste Schritt in Richtung dieser Richtung bewegt. Mit einer Kombination aus Customizer und Sammler wie Cowabounga Geschäft und José von Mad auf PLAYMOBIL® nichts davon wäre möglich. Vor allem half José, seine Ideen am meisten. Hier ist mein erster Norman Ritter, gibt es noch mehr zu tun, dies zu verbessern. Aber ich glaube, schließlich ist dies die richtige Richtung zu gehen. Mit etwas Klebeband, Leim, Material und Farbe kommt diese Norman Ritter. Hoffnung, die Sie genießen und Dank für das Lesen. Ich habe immer noch einige Projekte beenden und hoffentlich in den nächsten Wochen werde ich.
Bonjour à nouveau mes amis, je me suis occupé ces derniers temps la finition un de mes objectifs de la création d’un thème Norman. Voici la première étape dans le déplacement vers cette direction. Avec une combinaison de customizers et collectionneurs comme la boutique et José de Cowabounga de Mad sur Playmobil rien de tout cela ne serait possible. Surtout José, ses idées le plus aidé. J’espère que nous pouvons nous aider mutuellement avec brainstorming des idées pour créer plus d’articles pour élargir le monde Playmobil. Merci encore les gars 🙂
Voici mon premier chevalier normand, il y a encore beaucoup à faire pour améliorer cela. Mais je pense que finalement cela est la bonne direction à suivre. Avec un peu de ruban adhésif, colle, matériel et peinture vient ce chevalier normand. Espérons que vous apprécierez et merci pour la lecture. Je dois encore terminer certains projets et nous espérons que dans les semaines à venir, je vais.

Ok, here it is the “The Battle of Stamford Bridge”. I used my Conte Battle of Stamford Bridge playset to set up this scene of the battle, where the lone Viking warrior holds the bridge against the Saxon army. It is a perfect match for Playmobil. Hope you enjoy.
“The Battle of Stamford Bridge took place at the village of Stamford Bridge, East Riding of Yorkshire, in England on 25 September 1066, between an English army under King Harold Godwinson and an invading Norwegian force led by King Harald Hardrada and the English king’s brother Tostig Godwinson. After a bloody battle, both Hardrada and Tostig along with most of the Norwegians were killed. Although Harold Godwinson repelled the Norwegian invaders, his army was defeated by the Normans at Hastings less than three weeks later. The battle has traditionally been presented as symbolising the end of the Viking Age, although major Scandinavian campaigns in Britain and Ireland occurred in the following decades, such as those of King Sweyn Estrithson of Denmark in 1069–70 and King Magnus Barefoot of Norway in 1098 and 1102–03.”
“The sudden appearance of the English army caught the Norwegians by surprise. Their response was to deploy rapidly in a defensive circle. If the Norwegians were located at Battle Flats, there is no good explanation as to why they deployed into this formation. However, if they were located on the east side of the Derwent, the deployment made perfect sense. By the time the bulk of the English army had arrived, the Vikings on the west side were either slain or fleeing across the bridge. The English advance was then delayed by the need to pass through the choke-point presented by the bridge itself. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle has it that a giant Norse axeman (possibly armed with a Dane Axe) blocked the narrow crossing, and single-handedly held up the entire English army. The story is that this axeman cut down up to 40 Englishmen and was only defeated when an English soldier floated under the bridge in a half-barrel and thrust his spear through the laths in the bridge, mortally wounding the axeman.”

The other day while browsing through eBay, I found these guys. And I thought, I should take what is old and make it new. Well these are not really old, just the molds. I have been gathering some Conte Vikings & Saxons that past year and I need more poses. But unless I spend a lot of money on painted metal sets, there is really not to many plastic Vikings in 1/32 scale. Some of the poses are nice, but the shields are way too small. I am going to start my project this weekend with this. First I am going to clip the horns!! Then clone some Conte shields and maybe try to change some of the weapons. And hopefully I can get some decent Vikings to mix in with the other guys I have.
Der andere Tag, während des Surfens durch eBay, fand ich diese Jungs. Und ich dachte, ich sollte das, was alt ist, und es neu zu machen. Nun sind diese nicht wirklich alt, nur die Formen. Puis cloner certains boucliers Conte et peut-être essayer de changer certaines des armes. Et nous espérons que je peux obtenir des Vikings décents à mélanger dans laquelle les autres gars que j’ai.
